People want to express themselves and be understood. PRISM acts as a catalyst to focus conversations, deepen their content quality and improve mutual understanding. This is done in a guided process that structures a conversation so that feelings can be exploratively externalized, mapped as a proximity to the self, discussed, and clearly understood by a third person.

PRISM is a method that transforms an individuals unique perception of the relationship with objects or persons into a neutral visual rendering. PRISM succeeds in making feelings conscious and externalizing them. This allows to discuss the subject with a counterpart more focused and to exchange and merge differing perspectives more easily. With PRISM it is possible to make feelings conscious and externalize them. It helps to consciously reflect on alternatives and to reveal unconscious associations both to the individual and its counterpart.

To overcome a painful state and feel better, it helps to learn to change ones relationship to it. This insight dates to Heraclitus (5 century BD). The PRISM Method enables to assess relationships in due time by a few structured questions designed for various applications in the field of healthcare, psychotherapy, and HR. It as well allows to measure and briefly quantify the proximity/distance of an object to the self and to track the evolution over time.
